Volunteer...

Trail of Hope Horse Rescue & Rehabilitation Center in Sedalia, Colorado has an ongoing need for volunteers to help perform a variety of services.  Volunteer activities include but are not limited to daily barn chores, horse grooming, horse exercise (hand grazing, walking, and minimal riding); periodic fencing, barn, and facility maintenance and repair; minor construction; grant writing; donation solicitation and fundraising.  We have a job for you!

Trail of Hope welcomes volunteers with and without experience with horses, all we ask for is a willingness to learn and support our goals.  Volunteers must be at least 16 years of age to serve independently.  Younger volunteers are considered on an individual basis.  Specific volunteer activities are based on age, experience, and volunteer hours donated.

Trail of Hope works with schools, businesses, community organizations, and private individuals to arrange volunteer opportunities that provide growth and enrichment for the volunteers as well as the needed support for our facility.

We have a volunteer recognition program established.  Logo gear and other gift items may be earned through our volunteer hours tracking program.  In addition, riding lessons are provided at a discount through Dancing Bear Farm (our host facility).  The recognition program is available to all registered, active volunteers.
